Down For The Count

I am down for the count.  I am so exhausted I can barely keep my eyes open.  I just woke up from lightly napping on the couch, and now ready to go to bed.

This morning I did not feel this bad, with the normal daily muscle pains and achy joints.  I did all the Aussies, a few times throughout the morning, even planning on going for a walk this afternoon.  I did all the Crabby Cabbie invoicing, which took me most of the morning.

About 1:30 pm  Rob and I had ourselves lunch, also doing a couple errands afterwards.  We got home and I hit the couch.

Now?  I can barely move my body it is so heavy, and I just do not feel the best.  I have an appointment with the specialist tomorrow, and it is one I can not miss so I must get over this fairly quickly.

What I am going to share is something hopefully others can understand, which was also recently talked about between a fellow Fibromyalgia sufferer and myself.  Please take a moment to read the "Spoon Theory" if you be so inclined to do so by *clicking* HERE.

I can identify wholly with the following excerpt:

Its hard, the hardest thing I ever had to learn is to slow down, and not do everything.

This is what I have still not been able to learn to do, and something I battle within myself every day.  It also bothers me that I live in a mess most some most days as I am unable to get things done when I have these bad days.

Here is a bit of something to get us all in the mood to celebrate the upcoming Easter Weekend.:

That is all she wrote, as I am heading for my bed since I have run myself out of spoons for the rest of this day, Just North of Wiarton & South of the Checkerboard.

  3. Good article, thanks for sharing. I think that a lot of us can relate to the "spoon story", it's a great way of explaining our limitations.

  5. I'm so sorry Cindy. I've just been suffering with back pain for a week and already I'm fed up with just laying around. Funnily enough the injury was caused by my inability to SLOW DOWN!!! So frustrating!
